Diamond Suspension

Diamond suspension uses diamond as abrasive and is dispersed into a liquid medium by adding dispersants to form a liquid with grinding effect.

Diamond suspension grinding and polishing slurry uses high-precision diamond micropowder and its production technology. Diamond polishing slurry has uniform particle distribution, neutral Ph value, good suspension degree, stable polishing quality, does not contain harmful ingredients to the human body, and is beneficial to environmental protection. Strictly classify the particle size and purify and produce it in different grades. It has high grinding rate and removal rate and excellent suspension effect, and combines the three-in-one effects of "polishing", "cooling" and "lubrication". Diamond suspension grinding and polishing slurry has high grinding rate and removal rate. Compared with ordinary polishing slurry, when the grinding and polishing quality is the same, the consumption is saved by 30%, and the polishing time is saved by more than 50% compared with ordinary international polishing slurries. Sample preparation is better, faster and more cost-effective. During polishing, diamond can adhere well to the polishing fabric and is not easy to drain. It consumes low energy. The surface roughness (Ra) obtained after polishing is only 0.1~0.3nm.

It is suitable for automatic grinders and has good suspension performance. The abrasive is suspended in the liquid for a long time. It can not only improve the polishing effect and display the true phase structure, but also improve the working environment of polishing. Whether it is soft or hard materials, or alloys with considerable differences between soft and hard, graphite in cast iron, inclusions in steel, oxide layers on the surface of steel, coating layers, infiltration layers, cemented carbide materials, etc., extreme results can be obtained. Good polishing effect, suitable for manual or automatic delivery.

Classification

According to the type of diamond

Artificial diamond can be roughly divided into single crystal diamond, polycrystalline diamond and nanodiamond, so diamond suspension can also be divided into single crystal diamond suspension, polycrystalline diamond suspension and nanodiamond suspension.

Distinguished according to dispersion medium

There are three widely used dispersion media for diamond suspensions: aqueous dispersion media, oily dispersion media and general-purpose media (emulsion media). When using, the appropriate suspension should be selected according to the specific usage conditions.

Application areas

LED industry

The main substrate material used in LED chips is sapphire, which needs to be thinned and polished during processing. Sapphire is extremely hard and difficult to process with ordinary abrasives. Polycrystalline diamond suspension has extremely high grinding rates and high-quality machined surfaces, so it is widely used for thinning and polishing sapphire substrates. With the rapid development of the LED industry, the demand for polycrystalline diamond suspension is also increasing day by day.

Optical glass and gemstone processing industry

Optical glass and gemstones have extremely high requirements for processing precision. Nanodiamond suspension can form a high-quality processed surface while maintaining a high grinding rate. Nanodiamond suspension can be used for blanking, nesting, milling, edge grinding and fine grinding of convex and concave curved surfaces of optical glass.

Mechanical processing industry

Diamond grinding tools are special tools for grinding carbide. In particular, diamond is formulated into a suspension, which can not only increase the grinding rate, but also quickly dissipate a large amount of heat generated during the grinding process, thereby preventing the surface of the workpiece from being burned.
